Julie
and Ed Weiss have been married for more than 40 years. Over those
years they have lived, worked and traveled in every part of Canada. Julie's
work has been that of a schoolteacher and homemaker while Ed has had
a distinguished career in business and industry as both a senior executive
and a management consultant.
They have two grown sons, neither of whom lives at home and their last pet succumbed to old age several years ago. Their foray into the bed and breakfast enterprise fulfills several long held dreams. Firstly it facilitates their desire to combine an early partial retirement with an activity that keeps them in people contact and affords them the opportunity to sustain their zest for life through intellectual and social interaction. Secondly, McLellan House Bed and Breakfast affords them the opportunity to sustain an annual world wide travel schedule during the "off" season.
Julie and Ed are now entering their 7th year as B & B hosts. They have lived more than 20 years in western Canada. They are thoroughly familiar with all that Edmonton and western Canada has to offer. As an added plus, Ed, who was born in Germany still speaks enough German to get by.
